32-20 brass

RE: 32-20 brass
Don, I have seen and shot this conversion. Actually it was my first Rossi to shoot. Now I only shot 2 rounds through it but it seemed to work just fine, and about no recoil. I don't know if it is one of their SS rifles or not but it was nice and shiny. John did say it still needed a little smoothing here and there but other than that it worked fine.
As for me if I were to do something like that I am not sure if I would go reline or just replace the barrel with a GM. It did answer a question I have had for a long time, due to the fact that many Win 92's were converted to .38/.357, could they be reversed and it seems that the answer is Yes they can be.
If they were not so expensive, Taylor and Co sells a nice looking 92 made in Italy, and they could be turned back into an original caliber with about the same amount of work I would think. Maybe it would be worth a drive down to take a closer look at one and ponder the idea. The real shame is that when they were to first start bringing them in, they were listed in 32-20 and are not any longer.
