What is the size of that plate?
That looks like it will put them on top of each other when the weather is more fit and when the load is finalized.
I sure like the 16 ROT in my CPA .45-90.
Sometime when you get a chance and make a cast of that barrel I would like to know what the bore groove is. The two barrels I got form him his man making the barrels was having a problem keeping them in tolerance. The first was ordered .438/.446 and it was delivered .438/.451/ The second replacement for the barrel I sent back it came .438/.443 and the lands where double cut like his index jumped a halve land. Very noticeable looking through the magnified bore scope.
I hope he will get his barrel maker to get things worked out. It might be tough changing from Muzzle loader barrels to cartridge barrels, I don't know but the two in a row I got makes me hesitant ordering another one. Barrels makers are few in between for the calibers we shoot. Joe and Suzi are top people to work with, but his machinist he needs to get things worked out.
Please let me know what your bore is like. I have a new .44-77 reamer getting ground for a silhouette rifle.
I called Smith up in Canada for a barrel and he does not have the tools for a .438/.446. Krieger will make a 16 on special order but he is swamped making AR barrels.
