trapdoor barrel repair

Hi ya'all I just picked up a trapdoor barrel and receiver off e-bay yesterday for $61.00 it is brand new never issued or shot after leaving the Springfield armory.
It is part of the new guns un-crated to be sold off and the gov. folks thought it was a bad idea to sell to the common folks operating firearms so they took an acetalene torch and damaged the mouth of the chamber to make un usable. I will have to evaluate it after receiving it but the picture shows it to no badly damaged? I hope. Has anyone here or knows someone who has dealt with one of these and repaired it? I am thing to sleeve the chamber or weld it up and re machine. Really want to fix it as it is new perfect lands and groove's can't ask for anything better than that? Help!
