RE: CPA
Bill.

I have three CPA's and the .45-90 PP slides right in with just a slight drag on the rim that I don't need to do anything to load or extract.
The .44-100 Rem on a 2,6 case it gets to be a problem where I need to hold the spur down slightly with it on 1/2 cock loading but not extracting.
The .44-90 BN 2-5/8 case this is a little tough with the larger diameter case and the .625 rim diameter to clear the hammer spur and I had to open the ears in the receiver slightly for the rim to clear, but extracting is not a problem.
One time I put the hammer in full cock and closing the breach it dropped the hammer, so this is not the thing to do. I was going to bend the spur down slightly but with the light weight hammer it just clears the tang at full cock. I might order another hammer and have CPA mill a small notch in the spur for the .44-90 BN.
