Another vote here for Bill Goodman. Very happy with my dealings with him and that extra $250 is money well spent. If you choose to put down a custom order through him you'll need $1k deposit but for any of the existing orders he has coming in you'll be fine. My best delivery time was under six months and my longest was just over twelve ..and that rifle had quite a few custom features.
