Kurt, Thanks so much for posting these. I've got some questions I may email you but one thing I'm interested in here is that I don't see any loss of integrity in the base band, which was of interest to me, considering PJ and Steve Brooks seem to always beef up the base band, and I thought the reason was because they felt short base bands deformed and impacted the base 'edge' integrity. Maybe I'm wrong and their reasons more complex. On the gas cutting, I wonder about fit. Seems that alloy hardness was soft enough to me to 'bump up' and create a good fit, so don't seem likely. On stripping, you say you had a jump, and one of my questions is gonna address that but I need to include a drawing so email might be better. You might rain on my parade but that's why I'm asking you:-))
