Makes sense Don, Yes the SRC in 44-40 wcf I am becoming fan of the cartridge. I just chronographed a bunch of 38 & 40 grains O.E. 2F with 215 gr. Accurate mould bullet. Velocites were impressive should average 1500 fps =- from a 24' barrel accuracy has been fair with 38 grs. being a bit more accurate.The last string of 15 shots I tried to foul the barrel. One wet patch flipped over ran through again one more wet and squeaky clean, dry patch, some bear grease/beeswax done.
