Shiloh #3 Sporter 45-120 SS

My first reproduction Sharps was a .45-3-1/4 and it was a great shooter. It shot as well as all the Sharps and Stevens rifles I have now. It gets your attention with 118 to 120 grains of powder pushing a 560 gr bullet.
It is not a caliber for the timid but it is a very accurate caliber if you can handle the torque and recoil.
Gunner load that shell with your postell cast with some antimony in the alloy and it will floor any critter you aim at and I doubt that you will recover a bullet in one. You dont need a hard bullet to hold the lands. One roll of no lead solder that is 95% tin 5% antimony in 18# lead is what I found that 3-1/4 shot well. It will pass through both shoulders and keep on going.
