RE: Forming Cases and other things
Kurt those are kind of funky looking bullets but, you have the tool to do that to them and yeppers I see a nice advantage to that. I am guessing the tool has an adjustable stop to control the depth/diameter. I am not exactly sure what the powder coat is either. In doing some research on it, yea its static that holds in on and then you bake it. They say to use a container with the #5 in the recycle triangle and then to put your bullets in along with black air soft balls and roll and shake them for a minute or so, then into a toaster oven and bake them at 400 or so for about 20 minutes. I did 10 bullets the other day and they gained .003" I re-coated the same bullets and they only gained another .001". That got them with a 55Y patch up to .449. One of these days I will get around to loading and shooting them. If nothing else they will look festive for this season, shiny brass case, white or yellow collar and a bright red bullet. Hey I figured I have nothing to loose by giving it a try. I all ready had the powder, balls and oven dedicated to that job.
