nope, its a cast one from a BACO mold. I thought it would be good to add a round to the box for the visual effects. That is a damaged case neck and it just happened to be tight enough to hold the bullet in place. I have a bunch of them cast up in different lengths. I just need to scrape my stuff together, load up some and head out to the range one of these days and see what kind of patterns they will print.
I was doing some web surfing the other week and managed to find a range maintained by the State Game Commission a little over a half hour from me. Its nice with covered firing points and benches. down side is its only 100 yards but it is free and easy to get to. Its a place to start if nothing else. I find something that shoots tight at 100 I can take it to Ridgway and see how it works at longer range.
