RE: .44-77 PP bullets.
Jim,I know its getting close to getting your 44/77 so I was wondering if when you get it if you would post the bore/groove dimensions for that barrel as I would have another 44 project I would do and I know GM does not have a decent barrel. I Have 3 GM barrels on rifles and one Badger and the Badger is the only one that is the correct dimension.
Kurt, my 50/90 had .400 freebore so I took it down to Lee Shaver because he had the reamer I liked, just got it back and loaded up some new loads and took it to the range and first shot at 100 was in the X ,so moved it out to 300 And second group was 4 inch vertical by 3 inch horizontal for 10 shots, so Im Happy. But have to take the old ammo apart because its too fat to chamber. Bummer! 670 grain PP.
