The words of encouragement from the other .44-77 shooters here have brought me back to focus at least a few times when the twists and turns of this project have made me feel helpless and hopeless. It has been 11 months and at times it was hard to imagine how things could go more off the rails, so many stops and restarts.

As it turns out there was no second call from Shiloh today, not surprised, so that means a Monday shipment is pretty solid.

If there is interest here I will certainly post my efforts and thoughts for all to read. I've done so much research on loading this cartridge that I've just about wore the letters off my computer keys! I've got pages and pages of printed stuff and notes that have given me a pretty good idea of where to start and I'll let the targets and match results guide me from there, as I always have.

And if I find myself scratching my thinning hair looking for answers I know where to ask for help. This forum is a great aide when covering new ground.

The goal will be silhouette, mid-range and long-range matches with paper patch bullets and maybe some hunting thrown in for good measure. Kind of a one rifle to do it all idea. We'll see just how much of that can be realized. I'll have fun traveling this road wherever it leads, it's all about the journey. I'm just a little excited to get started.
