RE: 43 spanish
Ted, I have taken some Norma basic brass that was already cut down to 2.3 ran it into the Lee 43 spanish size die, loaded it with bp and a patched bullet and fireformed to my shiloh 44-77. It actually works pretty fair and I believe as long as it stays with bp loads should last a good while.
Jamison is supposed to be getting the 43 spanish and 44-77 brass back into production. You can get brass from BACO that has been built from 348 winchester brass and there is always Bertram brass (altho that stuff is danged pricey)
Anyway if you get the rifle, and slug the bore, or do a chamber cast to get the throat deminsion , Accurate has a couple 3 good patched bullet designs that ought to work like a champ in that rifle. And Lee sells reloading dies for it so that's not a big problem
