Good/Bad news
Bad news is the .44-100 fell short of my expectations shooting long range.
I have to work out a new bullet alloy and maybe a tighter patched bullet that will hold the velocity that the E powder drives my bullets around 1500 fps. Found 1/16 lead/tin alloyed bullets in the sand at 800 yards that did not hold the lands and stripped; bad news!
The good news is the .44-77 using barrel sights with a 73 grain load of the 1.5 E powder will hit the Buffalo iron around 3/4 mile---- .82 mile distance set with a GPS with 2' accuracy Smile
