As the old saying goes, There is more than one way to skin a cat. So that said I believe there is more than one way to get the same end results. I am blessed with living in a dry climate, so what works for me may not work for someone living in Florida. I have for years cleaned BP guns with water and Napa water soluable oil mixture. I finish up with a HM solution called ED's Red. Before shooting I run 2 dry patchs through bore and then one patch with a little bullet lube on it. This has worked for me. Shooting conditions in winter are often 20 degrees and in summer 90 + degrees with low humidity. I also use a blow tube. Do not wipe between shots. I am not saying I never foul out ,but my troubles are minimal.

Brownie that's one of the nice things about most areas of the shooting sports, there's really no wrong or right way to do things, rather it's if it works for you and you get the results you want then why bother to change?
But on the other hand if there's some things that aren't necessarily working for you , then it's sort of nice to know there are other ways of getting the job done..
