RE: 1.5 Oldye Ensford
I have been shooting the 2f Olde E in my 45-70....it has been doing quite well for me.

Besides the way it shoots with good velocity and great fouling, the powder is also real nice at brass cleanup time....no stink and the wash water is amber color, not black.

I am just now getting to my brass from last sundays match. I put all the brass in my OJ jug and filled it with warm water and a small squirt of DW detergent. You can put your nose over the spout and NO smell...my wife got home right in the middle of the kitchen task and she never even noticed I was cleaning brass....(she really used to hate the task and would accuse me of ruining the house)...LOL

I tried compressing it from .005+/- all the way to the point the brass bulged (78gr behind a 535 Creedmoor)...very litte, to no compression has proved to be most accurate with every bullet tested. I do use a droptube.

I do have 1.5 Swiss under the bench...but there is no need to spend the extra $6 a lb....when the swiss shows no better results on the paper.
