I favor the slim crescent butstock for hunting. It takes a lot of weight off the rifle. For hunting you never feel the recoil when you send lead down range. The rifle comes up fast and points well with all of the unnecessary weight.
This rifle weighs under 10#with it's 30" light weight barrel. The only thing I would change with this rifle and that would be adding sling swivels and maybe a 2" shorter barrel.
