Mostly a chance for guys to shoot long range with cast bullets. Virtually all shoot lever actions. Then I adopted a Shiloh, so my world has taken a change of course. In any case, we haven't competed just enjoyed shooting. The first year the long target was at 800 yards and this year the target was 1000 yards. The bulk of the range is loosely what the Quigley is. You would think that with all of Wyoming to work with I could orient a range to the north, but no. The only safe direction is from the west to the east. I'll visit with Cody, and I need to meet Travis anyway. Steve

Steve I believe what would be good if it could be put together is a bpcr sillouete match as that would be the only one in Wyoming, and the only one between Livingston Mt, and Watkins Colorado, Perryville Utah and Kansas..

I agree Don. I think we could easily get 5 or six dedicated shooters as a base and maybe attract as many as 10 or fifteen on occasion. I have the spot and a dozer to build the berms. Sometime I need to get someone more experienced than I to look at my spot and help me lay out the berms. There is an old homestead there with a well, so we would have a spot to camp and water. I would need help with buying the targets. I guess we would have to shoot off the grass for a while until we can afford concrete and a covering for the firing line. I have been thinking about it for a while, I just wanted to finish the 22 range first. I would probably be ready to start the big bore range in the spring.
Thanks for ideas and support,
Cody

Cody , have you checked with Bowman's about the cost of the targets? I'm still waiting to hear from Schlagels.
Yes I'm thinking if a handful of folks chipped in , getting a minimal set of targets to start, and then add to the targets as needed later.
Firing line on the grass isn't necessarily a bad thing, a person could always pack some gravel sands for inplace of concrete.
