RE: Paper patch template
just go to joannes and get a little fiscars paper cutter........ I have both the roller and the pointed knife cutter and both work super easy. they are on sale twice a year for about 10 bucks , they cut thousands of patches in no time , and with a strip or two of painters tape you have a guide and a stop , 5-8 sheets are easy to do and the stack when done is as perfect as you can get,and you dont have to deal with them xacto knife blades being dull and falling out of the handle all the time

you do have to cut them in the privacy of your back room so nobody can see you , but if you store them in a bull durham sack no body will guess,

if you must have a tin template tell me how long as well as how wide, and I will see what I can do for you .

RE: Paper patch template
I like to cut my paper to 7/8 in wide strips, stack 1/2 dozen staple them together so they can't run off and then mark them off with the template, and cut them with the schoolhouse type paper cutter.
Sometimes I like to cut just a couple of patches, and that's why I need the template the zacto knife can't cut.
So right now I don't really have anything to work with real good for my 7/8 in wide and long enough for .446 bullets. Smile

RE: Paper patch template
do you just want a flat with an angle or do you want a finished template .I do not have a 446 bullet . but I will cut you a piece any length you want, just let me know.

just as an aside , you might try your 44 patches , at 8 tho difference the gap may be neglagable ,
my 44 and 45 patches are basicly the same length

RE: Paper patch template
The gap on those 44 patches is just a touch bigger than I think I want.
I did pickup a piece of flat stock in town yesterday, I think I'll mess with it until I get one made that seems to work.
Then maybe if there's enough of that 36 inch long strap left, I'll make you one and send it, that way you'll have one if you ever decide to shoot a fat bullet thru your 110 Big Grin Might even send you a handful of bullets to try, if I ever get some casting done..Cool

RE: Paper patch template
well let me know if you gring the whole thing up to sparks and i will cut you one ,
I been thinking about it but it is simpler with the smaller bullets , I am too clumsy to run them tight bullets.
