CCI BR2s
If not a CCI BR2 primer in the 45-90, then which one comes close. The powder to be used would be Swiss 1.5 and the bullet , a 535 gr. Postel greaser.

I'm about to load a few for a newby BPCR shooter and he is "out" of BR2s.

RE: CCI BR2s
Sources say the CCI 200 is closest to the BR2 since they are run on same line and likely same components (except for the little "B" stamped on cups for BRs). Without load adjusting the 200s might be good swap. Those CCI BR2s are most desirable due the soft uniform start they give BP loads. Hopefully you can try a few loads over a Crony to check Extreme Spread (ES) before the big day.

I've been really happey with Remington 9 1/2 with the Eynsford powder.

It's really hard to index the primers without that "B" on themRolleyes

Well, as to that little letter on CCI BRs. It just happens this geezers Sir name begins with B and therefore I've always contended that all the good brass found on the ground so marked belongs this owner;-)

I shoot exclusively CCI 200 primers in 3 different caliber Shiloh rifles, and they all perform very well w/ Goex and Olde Eynsford powders. The Remington 9 1/2 primers are also very good.

GM155M pistol primers have always edged out BR2 s for me in my 45-90 with Swiss 1 1/2. your results may vary.

RE: CCI BR2s
I just finished my last sleeve of Br-2's and I had a lot of shallow dents firing pin strikes and misfires. It makes me wonder if that lot had the Military spec primer cups used by mistake.
I mostly use the F210M Federal Large Rifle Match Primers.

Have you ck'd the FP? Huh
I have never had any issue with Fed match or BR2 primers in any firearm I've used them in.
