Elk season opened today
And it's pouring rain !!! Hasn't rained for 2 months...... ConfusedRolleyes

Went up to the hunting shack and kicked back for 3-4 hours. Heard 3 shots way off in the distance. If my freezer wasn't full, I might have had more interst in staying there. Tongue It hasn't stopped raining and that was 4 hours ago and the weather radar shows nothing but more rain HuhHuh

Maybe I'll wait a few more days.Rolleyes

Been that same way here Sir------i been "rained in" off and on for 3 weeks----perhaps next weekend i can get to the ranch and break this "cabin fever" !!!!!

Only consolation is the critters will be moving well when the rain stops

Well good luck anyway!!!!! Hope you get a critter!

Since I got home from Colorado we've got close to 20" of rain! Lots of flooding and lost about 30'yards of pasture fence. All the brush piles I had built up from drift from last May's floods decided to wash into fence!
Was just waiting on wetter weather and burn ban lifting to get started on them. When we left there was a major fire going on here I our county. Burned almost 5000 acres. Not a big as the Labor Day 2011 fire but this one did burn homes. Bad deal! Well it's totally contained and we did burn some brush yesterday. Looks like chainsaw will be out today!!!
