Deer Hunting Success ...Stuck In MO
Well....Took the old 1906 Winchester Model 94 out on Saturday to fill the freezer with Venison. Not 20 minutes in my stand and a nice tender doe wandered by. One shot with the 32 Special at a measured 114 yards / iron sights and she dropped like a sack of flour. 170g bullet at 1400fps did the job.

Been chasing a beautiful 10 pointer with amazing white rack for the last few days. His rack looks like it is electrified! But he won't give me a shot everytime I see him.

Today we are stuck in the camp. Raining so hard the little stream that runs across the drive is flooded to a depth of about 4' and running like the Colorado river! We might take the backhoe out and attempt to cross a bit later!

We got invited to a nice home cooked meal at the neighbors down the road, but unless we can cross the stream we'll be eating leftovers!

Loving it!

R, Did you use a black powder load? 'Bout the same as a .32/40 that way. Shoot sharp, Mike

Bravo! I've got a Winchester Model 64 in .32 W.S. that eats cast bullets so nicely. Also have a C. Sharps Arms 1885 Highwall in .32/40 which does even better. Shoot sharp, Mike
