Mulhern, Ditto on what Kurt said re: the T/C bore butter. I've been using this ever since it came on the market, and the results have been very good. I use it on patches for roundball loads, and also as a bullet lube for conical bullets; both perform very good. Additionally, now that you are getting into the ML affliction, you'll find that your new rifle will perform very well for spring and fall turkey hunting just like it will for deer hunting, too. I like the ML rifles for turkey hunting (if legal in your area) better than a shotgun, because you can take much longer shots w/ confidence of positive results. A single hole through the bird w/ a few feather remains in it; easy to live w/, and they hit the ground like they ran under the clothes line w/ a solid hit in the front part of the bird.

I shot that target with the Southern Mountain Flint Lock. A flint will really teach you what follow through really means if the lock is not properly tuned. Smile I wish some of the gong shoots had side matches for the traditional front stuffers. No separate classes needed for cappers or sparkers. Tongue
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
