Hey "LG"
I am getting better with this

.40-65 Shiloh
422 grain Paul Jones Bullet
56.5 grains 1.5 Swiss
BR II primer

5 inch group @ 300 yards

what really gets to me is that I know I can do better, only time will tell

you are 110% correct, getting ready for "Tn Dove season" opening here Saturday, the .40-65 will be in the rack for a few days

funny you said this, most of my doves are "head shots", I have had people to accuse me of buying doves since there were no pellet holes in the breast area, I tend to overlead on my wing shooting, this is a bi-product of my competition skeeting shooting days, out of a limit of 15 doves most of the time at least 10 are head shot, my son shoots the same way

LG, I am starting to impress the locals at 300 yds with my .40-65 while they are shooting scoped white powder, I still need more trigger time

The Doves I get don't have any holes in them.
I just pick them up off the patio after they hit my bay window.
