Grandsons
Grandson's Connor and Britton with their buddy Kyle in the middle shooting 800 yards. I backed them up to 1000 yards and they fired ten rounds each...all pretty much to center of a 28x30" white plate! I doped the wind for them this trip and I told them....that day was the last time I'd read the wind as from then on....you're on your own! They keep good data books!

Good deal, now if you'll just get them into a Sharps or Highwall....Smile

Yes, get those boys to Sharps shootin'! And, I still have not learned how to read the wind, at least not properly. Shoot sharp, Mike

They're doing good to just get out here and shoot the rifles their Dad got for them. Both grandchildren are deeply into baseball/football and just no time for learning the ins/outs of BP. Maybe when they get older! Kyle is working on his engineering degree and he's swamped with study! First time they've been able to get out here since last December! When the grandchildren aren't on the baseball or football fields they're working out in the weight room and then their Dad has them sweeping out the aircraft hangers or cleaning aircraft! Their 'priorities' are pretty well defined! They did get enough time to kill their gobblers a while back though!

Have a GOOD MEMORIAL DAY guys!!

Don

I enjoy teaching marksmanship to anyone but since I have not been able to compete in BPCR I have been greatly hindered with imparting what I have been taught with the thinking that since I have not competed it would be rather like a man teaching how to hit a baseball that had never picked up a bat before! I don't like being put into a position of being accused of 'talking down' to others so I have refrained greatly from saying much. Marksmanship consistent primarily of just a few things to wit: Position, Sight Alignment, Trigger Control, and Mental Attitude plus paying attention to detail and an ironclad set of rules that are unyielding in nature! One only gets out of it.....what has been put into it in the form of practice, practice, practice!

And again...a HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY to all you guys!!Big Grin
