Wanted Colt Walker 2nd gen
I am looking for a Colt Walker percussion revolver to use as a shooter. I prefer a 2nd generation but would take a 3rd gen if priced accordingly. The Walkers I have seen on the auctions are usually NIB but I don't need the added expense of the box. I don't care for the commemoratives with the fakey gold stuff on them and I am not interested in an Italian repo. A plain Colt previously owned but well maintained shooter is fine.

Actually I have two dragoons: one a 2nd gen 1st Model and the other a Sig Series 3rd Model with a walnut case and all accessories. I may sell the cased one as I got a good deal on it and couldn't resist the pretty case and all the stuff inside. The Sig Series cost less than the 2nd gen with only the cardboard box. I will keep the 2nd gen and shoot it. But I hear what you say about the loading lever - I guess back in the day they tied a rawhide thong around around the originals. Thanks for the reply Eric.
