Need more come ups please
This all started when my hunting partner got a new Sig 2000 range finder. We were up at the "property", watching for a cow elk to wander out in our field of fire (350 yds). He got to checking some other visible landmarks, and a couple of ridges over from our location is a pole barn on the neighbor's land. The neighbor is a good friend, and owns a Shilo Hartford model just like mine. "How far to the pole barn doors?" "One thousand and eighty five yards". Yagottabe kiddin! Double check same thing..a visit with the neighbor and game on! So when the weather gets a little better we're gonna throw some lead. I'm shooting a RCBS 500 BPS COWW powder coated sized .459 with 26.5 gr 5744 average velocity 1376 fps. (45/70)
I've got the come ups to 300 yds, but need a suggestion of where to start at 1000. IIRC it would be 196 points more than the 100 yd setting. Ring a bell? Thanks!
