Stuckenhoff 2017 Buffalo Rifle Match, Casper Wyoming
Date: April 30, 2017
Time: 10 am Location; Stuckenhoff Shooting Range – Long range – Cannon shoot area
Entry fee: $20 60% returned to competitors as cash prizes. 40% to club
Entry limit: 30 shooters
Rifles: Any traditional single shot or lever action rifle - .375 caliber such as Sharps, Trapdoors, Highwalls, Ballard’s etc.
No palm rest or hook butt plates.
Ammunition: Cast bullets only – gas checks ok, any safe powder charge (black, black substitute, smokeless or duplex)
Any metallic sight – no scopes. Same rifle must be shot throughout match
Course of fire: eight shots at each range- Distance is estimate
210 yards standing
410 yards - 24 inch - diamond
510 yards – Square 30 x 35 inches
610 yards – Octagon 48 inch diameter
770 yards- buffalo
Target size may vary
Targets are score as hit or miss. Coaching and spotting allowed.
All shooting from cross sticks sitting with no back support except standing.
Ties will be broke in order: standing, buffalo, 610, shoot off Buffalo standing.
Sighters allowed before match – Range opens at 8 am for sighters
