a good day
A good day was enjoyed by all yesterday at the local range. Ol' Dave, Highwall55 (Bill) and myself show'd up for an afternoon of BP shooting. There were 38-55s, 44-77s, 40-65s, and 45-90s making smoke!
I was pretty confident of the 500 yd. sight-setting, so I started with that. Well, after 10-15 shots at that distance, and nary a hit on the paper, I retreated back to the 200 yd. distance, much to the humor of the spectators.
Dave had a scope on his 40-65 Browning, but had returned to
the open sights after he has eye surgery last fall; he shot well Friday.
Bill shot at the same target all afternoon. He had tiny bullet-hole groups mixed in with the big-bullet hole groups. When I listened to him, all the groups were plain to understand. Bills' a power that others will have to deal with some day.

We had a great day,

Old Jim
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Jim. It's always fun when friends get together and shoot. Did you guys shoot at Effingham?

Sounds like a good day.

We were shooting at PASA range at Barry Illinois Friday and Jim turned in some nice groups at 400 yards, he's TOO Modest to tell you all that!! On a side note I shaved my beard off and those two didn't recognize me,LOL
