Next rifle?
Thinking about my next sharps. Terrible interested in the 40-90 bn, and as luck would have it Smile a fella I know contacts me out of the blue and says he's got a saddle rifle in that chambering he hasn't fired for 10 years, and do I want to mess with it for awhile.?
Soooo, sometime in the next couple of weeks we'll get together and I'll be playing with that rifle to see what it can do. If all works out I'm thinking either a #3 or another roughrider with a 16lb barrel....Idea
Who else is rasslin with their next rifle?

RE: Next rifle?
I made a mistake when I pulled that .44-90 round barrel off the rough rider, I really miss it.
I should have just ordered a different rifle and left the rough rider alone.
I was at the range today forming some more brass for the .44-100 Rem using some cut down .45-120 Norma brass but two cases pulled apart because of the excess head space and some stretched .070. Guess I will have to get some more 2.6 Starline for the rest I need.
Don, this rifle is shooting very good using the cases that have been shot 6 times that fit the chamber right and I walked to the center of the target with three shot groups at 200 yds, all four three shot groups were under an inch out side to out side using that original bullet out of the Brooks mould cast at 1/40 at 530 gr. using 94 gr. of 1.5 KIK.

RE: Next rifle?
Kurt I'm looking forward to seeing that 44-100. It sure sounds like a great rifle.

I wanted a Lone Star 50-70 roller but that may not be an option unless someone gets tired of theirs.

It was a good trade off for the Vincent Muzzleloader with a Rice Target barrel. Tongue
