Practicing with PP
Trying a few things in my Browning BPCR in 45-70.
200 yards off of bench cross sticks. 3 shot groups.
Best load was with no vertical.
BACO Elliptical bullet .443 at 524 grains 20/1.
74 grains of Swiss 1.5F, no compression.
2 LDPE .03 wads
Small pistol primer.

I shot same load with 78 grains is the other picture.

Shot several other loads, up and down the powder scale. Gross started opening up.

Those best groups are under 1 MOA. I’m happy. Now if I can just repeat it again and again.

I had two of those rifles over the years and both shot extremely well for accuracy!!

RE: Practicing with PP
Well I finally shot my 1st match with the Browning and this PP loads.

I’m pretty pleased. When you are shooting against Kevin Griggs, Barry Miller, Ken Sterling, Rick Hladky, Nick Resetz, and Bill Wing and still come out on top. Those guys are great shots and good company.

Nice! great shooting Kevin, I just finished loading 90 rounds of 44-77 paper patch ammunition last night, 77 grs OE FFG is already minute of coyote pup at 200 yards, I have to finalize barrel sight correlation, then it'll be ready for hunting season.
