If you look hard enough it is possible to come up with one from the run Winchester did for Cabela's and Davidsons a few years back

I bought rossi m92 stainless with octagon barrel in 357 about a year ago that shoots pertty good. Action is not a smooth as the winchesters but that might just take more use to ware in.

hipshot, the Rossi's M92 is what I been looking at with a 24" barrel in 357 color cased receiver at $519. The Winchesters at 1 st stop are in 45 Colt at $1575 ea and yeah Don they are real nice but I wanted one for a whole lot less money and more utilitarian in nature. I remember an article MLV did about a Thunder Ranch class using a 92 and keeping up with a bunch of AR-15 hosers who couldn't hit doodly. Hipshot can you use 38 Special in yours ? bobw

Bob, My barrel says 38spl-357mag,so it shoots 38s but i have not tried them,i have just shot the 357 and i have them loaded down to about what a 38 is. Mine does have a 24" barrel, it shoots good enough that i have placed quite often at out local shoots.

The Hornady manual used a carbine with an 16" barrel for a test rifle ,got any idea how much velocity you gain with 8" extra and how many shells does the mag hold? bobw

Bob.

Might I ask why a .357 rather then a .44-40?
