500 doves since Sept 1, 2012
is what I have killed so far, the Tennessee season closes January 15, 2013.

here is a picture of my dog "Chaneys Bunk Ridge" holding the 500th dove.

Bunk has his UKC Finished Retreiver title and his AKC Master Hunter title. I did all the training myself. this was what I was doing before I purchased my Shiloh Sharps .40-65

Hard to beat a day shootin doves-----------the Texas season was a dissapointment this year---the drought really hurt the bird populations.

South Texas is still in the worst drought in like 30 years-------no water=no food=no doves and no quail

Good lookin pup

I don't think that there is no Dog more loyal then a Lab.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

Even when I was a young guy back in Southeast SD never had anywhere near a 500 bird year. The doves were usually great until the first 3-4 days of cool rainy weather and they would blow out of there. You'd get somemore pushed down outta ND but nothing like the first week or so.great looking lab, tip of the hat to you. bobw

If you want Doves to hang out plant some Sunflowers and Sorghum if they will grow in your area and when they ripen mow them down with a brush hog flat to the ground.

Exactly correct Kurt-----------bush hogged milo is the norm for south texas------------wild sunflowers planted on the rim of a tank will provide the greatest evening waterhole shoot there is.

I made the pilgrimage to Argentina several years ago and a 500 bird DAY was normal
