Hi Rick.
We had our share with twisters. One hit and took two trees down the year before we build. The next was when we lived hers foe about two years when the kids were still small. We were in the garden when I saw one touched down several miles away. I grabbed the boys under my arms and ran for the house but with luck it went south of us heading SW to NE. Several years later I saw two touched down 400-500 yards west of us in the corn field again it headed NE and looking farther north I say one. That was 3 at the same time. I called Town that is 5 miles away and they turned on the sirens but one hit town doing damage. But things have been quiet for close touch downs for many years till today but some a few miles west of us they had some recently.
The fruit trees are looking good. I sprayed them this morning because the sky was clea but windy. The buds survived the frost and have small 1/4" apples. This might be a good year because I'm home and maybe I can keep the blight and worms away for a change.
I lost two Peach trees this winter and one golden delicious last year but I cut the trunk high about 4' up and suckers are starting again. I think I will prune off the small and keep one big to see what will happen.
Took the chain saw and made a bunch of cuts with the grain to collect the saw ships for smoking and cut some chunks for the webber.
The rest is fire ring wood. Nothing that is good goes to wast here
