1F in 45-90 question
I may be ending up with a half dozen extra pounds of 1F and most of my shooting is the 45-90. I am sure I will give it a try and see how it works but is this any kind of a popular combination?

Which 1F ? I think you will be happy with Swiss. Might or might not with the Goex.

I like goex 1f in the 2.3 , can't imagine it would do any worse with another .1 of case and 5 grs of powder.

85 gr. of 1f kik with 250 comp. works good in my 45-90 PP.

That's good to hear. I had planned to put about 10# on the shelf for a 50-90 PP that's on order and I think I'm going to end up with 7 Swiss, 1 Goex, 3 Goex Exp, and 6 Kik - I guess I'll just have to shoot more...

Goex loves to be smashed down.
I'm compressing 7/16" in my '90.

That looks like just enough to do some good testing and find out which brand of 1F your gun and you like.

RE: 1F in 45-90 question
I've got a .45-90 that i've done some testing with Goex Fg. I haven't tested at further than 200m but it shot well at that distance with 86gr and a Brooks Creedmoor bullet. I plan to run them over the chronograph pretty soon as I might use this rifle/load in Kamloops at an upcoming gong match if the ES/SD look good enough.

Chris.
