you can use one at medicine rocks before you get on the fireing line but not much need to as the wind seldom blows at a match ..Smile

The new devices will run numerous channels and can easily tie to a things like cell phones and and other inputs--------local spotter to shooter to back bench is not unreasonable to create

Well in some ways I can see them not wanting the electric anemometers on the line. Combine one of those with Kenny's windchart and you'ld see some scores jump tremendously and probably a lot fewer sighter shots taken.
But then on the other hand a person could take the time to calibrate an allowed windflag/guage with the anemometer....

At my home range, we have wind-flags at 200, 400 and 600. I also use a wind-meter there. I have noted the flag at 200 not moving, when checked aginst the firing-line meter I had 4mph. But the flag at 600 was standing straight-out, in the opposite direction!

Oh swell Sad, lota good that firing-line wind info. does Tongue.

I'll still take my meter to the firing-line every-time I'm called, if its ok to do so.

That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Jim if you ever shoot Alliance, if by chance you happen to notice all 5 flags pointing the same direction. Take the shot Smile
