sharps Rifle Company
I just found this on the web:

http://www.ereleases.com/pr/broadsword-g...cts-131257

Interestingy part of their web site sort of implies that their rifle was used in the Quigley movie...

Quote:

Sharps Rifle Company has been an icon of American history for generations. Our rifles have always been on the cutting-edge of innovation and quality, from the military rifles used in the Civil War to the sporting carbine rifles featured in films such as Quigley Down Under and True Grit. We continue to manufacture guns that deliver the classic performance you expect from Sharps.

Chris.

This is the outfit that made AR-15 type rifles or somesuch.
They went BK, and had some very shady dealings in the past.
