Kurt, Ditto to what Don Mc just said. I to have always appreciated the level of experimenting you do, and your willingness to share the data (w/ photos) w/ all of us. Your winter bullet recovery efforts are virtually priceless; nobody has gathered and shared the kind of data you have gathered, and on your nickel I might add. Thanks again!!

I also second this. There really are only a few people who have gone to the expense and dedication to relearn the old ways and discover new ways to make what we like to do work. I don't mind trying to help an individual put his foot forward in the right direction to success with paper patching. I guess it's pretty evident that i get bent out of shape evertime some fool starts telling me I don't know sh*t because I'm not a silhouette shooter of repute or haven't wrote any books about shooting greasers in guns that were made for ppb's.Yeah I did just say that. Things and skills evolve all the time, especially so with topics that are trying to be relearned and reachieved from the past.We have some written work that we gain from when we decipher it correctly( like the original Sharps ammo reloading instructions) and as Don refers to Ned Roberts book time to time. Then the lack of civillity when you try to discuss it out loud.

Just an idea here, it's Don's forum and decision but how about a sub forum about paper patching: techniques ,how to's involved in the loading end, the molds and papers, wads etc. Not a place to debate patching /greasers but a sub forum to only discuss what works and what don't from YOUR own experience. Tired of idiots telling me they know something is true because of a friend of their second wifes 4th cousin told them while drinking beer in New Mexico 9 years ago he heard it from a guy who wrote a book now 15 years out of date about something he had no expertise in but a big opinion on. Yeah I said that. A little caveat under the sub forum title stating from your own experience or keep it your self. I think you guys maybe get the idea I'm trying to put across. Tired a rumbling with people who don't know jack sh... Well? what say Don? bobw
