RE: Compressing Swiss 1.5
Dave,

I've been really pleased with BACO's 530 grain 'Money' pp bullet. I shoot it in my 45-2 7/8", and it will have its place in my soon-to-be 45-2.4". I had Jimbo make the mould for me. I use Seth Cole's 8# tracing paper.

Opencountry:

The Money bullet just happened to be the first profile i tried when getting started and has proven to perform much better than the shooter.

Either i or my spotter have run a full 10 target bank of pigs, turkeys or rams at one time or another shooting the same rifle same load------------not necessarily the same match.

I keep working with the Postell loooking for the right load-----i'm getting closer

RE: Compressing Swiss 1.5
Well,

I got my case of Swiss 1.5 recently and worked up a load in my 45-70 with a 535 grain PJ Postell. I found that 64.0 grains of powder compressed .194" will give me the accuracy I'm looking for at 100 and 200 yards. I haven't had a chance to try it at extened ranges yet, but I am certainly anxious to. Its velocity is only 1,124 fps. but it shoots through the same ragged hole at both 100 and 200 yards. I know this load may not be suited for full midrange shooting, and I may need to work up the powder charge. I could see that the group opened up past 64.0 grains, but started closing up again at 68.0 grains. It's a work in progress, but I'm enjoying shooting it currently at the longest range our shooting club has, 200 yards.

Hi OC:

A bunch of very good (Master class silhouette) shooters at our club shoot 60 grain or so loads ----------

I haven't found a light load that shoots well at that in my rifle

Hope your pleasently surprised past the 200 yard mark
