Back to a normal winter

RE: Back to a normal winter
The sun came out at first-lite, after we got 16-18" total of snow. And the dang'd snow-blower wouldn't start! Put a fresh plug in it and went to clearing sidewalks and drives. Drinkin' fresh coffee now, will go out again later.

Temps around 15*. Wind about 20 MPH.
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

RE: Back to a normal winter
Jim I have a blower but it is buried deep in the shed behind a camper and other junk because I figured that I wouldn't need it this winter because we were heading south so I didn't pull it out where I can get to it when the snow gets deep.
Here is what we get during a normal winter. I been using the front loader pushing the snow back but it is a three day a week job this year.
This spring if we get a fast melt runoff and the river rises fast from the runoff the thick ice breaking up is going to cause problems flooding town and low lying ground. They will be blasting ice blocks again.

RE: Back to a normal winter
Guys, Well, I got some good news for ya; at least it's better news, but still subject to change. The weather channel today is forecasting somewhat warmer temps., and fewer storms starting about the early to middle part of next week; at least around here. Here in the subarctice daytime temps are forecast to be in the low 20's to mid-30's for at least a couple weeks, and no strong 3 day storms.

I wouldn't bet real heavy on any of that, but today it sounds like everyone in snow country might get a welcome break. Maybe.

Regards

RE: Back to a normal winter
Hope we will see alot of posts about bullet research and shooting into snowpiles. Minute specifications, tons of perfect pictures, all alternatives tested. YOU got all the winter this year, we have hare newborns from last week around here. Even at friend´s place the only way how to shoot into snowbank was to shoot across the downhill course through gap somewhere between elementary school class and elderly sportsman group. A no-go option (yes, I´m far from being a die-hard bullet researcher :-D). I desperately need to get about 50 different combos into snowbank and hadn´t a chance...
Take care (errrr... nope)-Be safe (errr.. also not the point)- Freeze safe! (the only which fits the photos)
(and pls don´t take the last row too seriously)
