RE: North Dakota mid range championship
Whoops, I left out a couple of important details this match announcement. This a NRA sanctioned BPTR match, and all NRA rules BPTR rules will be in effect. Sorry about that; must be an older boy thing?

RE: North Dakota mid range championship
Guys,
I gotta agree that Grand Forks is a long ways away from a lot of places. In the past there has been a little discussion re: moving the mid-range match to Bismarck. Then there might be more interest if it were declared an NRA 3 day regional mid-range and silhouette championship match and maybe something like a .22 rimfire silhouette championship to boot.
Something like that could get big fast, and require a match committee to pull it all together rather than a 1-2 man match crew. However, it would avoid the state championship format where the championship is awarded to the highest state resident, and give plenty of opportunity to shoot.
Also, some thought on getting some of the NRC/WSU paper target string measure matches started. These would probably be the easiest to get started to see how all the match logistics would work out. These matches are fairly brutal, because one needs to shoot good groups and put them in the middle to boot; many silhouette hits wouldn't really cut the mustard.
Time will tell.
