Got rain?
Confused Funny how momma nature can screw around with you.. In Feb and March we were in an extreme drought, the livestock business in this part of the country was in serious jepordy.
Then in April there started to be some moisture, and it raised everybody's hopes.
Now here we are in May and so far this month we're right at 12 inches of precipitation, just for the month of May. Now that might not sound like a lot to some parts of the country, but considering our average yearly percip is 14-16 inches,,
Enjoying this moisture, but I'm hoping she doesn't make us stretch it 3 years, like the last time she gave us a wet spring...

Hard on the shooting part for dang sure.. Looking more and more like Carol and I are going to tackle the midrange championship on Worland next week, gaining sight settings as we go...

RE: Got rain?
Right now if we had to go to Worland, it'ld be something of a bugger getting there. Wind River Canyon is closed, indefinetly due to rock/mud slides, Shell canyon is having slides. Going over Powder River pass is alright at the moment altho if it's like on top of Beartooth, the roads are closed there due to blizzard conditions.. So the only good way at the moment would be go to Hardin or Billings and come in from the north....
Oh yeah and it's been raining since about midnight here again.. We can't even practice the 22's as the firing line is under water.

RE: Got rain?
Gary, we all know about the dry conditions and wonder how we could help. In our own enviornments we see water flowing by that ends-up at the oceans. A local fact from the banks of the mighty Mississippi river; the Army Corp. river gage station estimates about 100,000 gallons/sec flowing past; 24 hrs. a day, 12 months a year, on its way to New Orleans. It makes ya wonder.

We think about our buddies out there in CA.
