Be advised a flood took out the overpass in Lusk on US 85, also took out some culverts on US 20.
So if heading north to the gong shoot mecca, might want to stay over on I25 or US 385, but keep posted on the road and weather reports.
Flash flood, and tornado warnings out again this afternoon, and the forecast don't change much for the next week.

Rick, they have more water coming down the Laramie than they can deal with right now. Greyrocks is 114% full, so they're having to let a lot of water go down the Laramie and into the Platte. Meantime we keep getting these heavy rains and all the drainages into the Platte below the dams are compounding the problem. They're holding water back in Glendo to the point it's 50 ft into the flood pool... Quite a change from back in April when it looked like we were on the verge of becoming Sahara west..

Rain guage caught 9 tenths, had nickel sized hail about 2-3 inches deep on the ground when that storm got thru with us last night. This morning it's foggy and drizzly with wind out of the E.. Water still running in the draws, don't look like we move cows today either..

Yup I need to get some more casting done. Carol's rifle really seems to like those 525 gr money bullets, and I'm needing to get caught up on the 44's and get some 77's loaded for the upcoming sillouette match at Smithmoor and Bryan Y's shootapalooza in Casper.
