globe front sight

        after receiving my tang sight from Jim at distant thunder sights, and being very happy with the quality etc. I've just ordered a duplicate of the front globe from an 1874 Sharps Mid range rifle. I have an original 74 sharps sporting rifle and Jim duplicated the mid range hunters sight, including the serial number on the side. I sent him pictures of the original globe and he's doing that now.
His sights are great, and reasonable, and Jim works with you to get what you want. Worth talking to him....

the other thing distant thunder can do is make custom inserts for many brands of foresight.
I have a set from 2.8 to 4.2 mm inclusive in 0.2 mm increments.
he must have some pretty good equipment.

groups shrunk to 1 7/8 at 50 yards and round.

the peep type insert coupled with the DT Sharps tang site did the trick on my original 74 Sharps rifle. and it looks good too!
