RE: The American Sharps Shooters, 2018-2
Yes another great publication. Mostly I just browsed over things but did stop to read the article on the new case lube from SPG. Although it doesn't state what lube is suspended in the alcohol, I have a suspicion, but will just keep that to my self.
Over the years I have tried all kinds of case lubes. I have used them on everything from straight sided pistol ammunition to military match ammo. One lesson I have learned it, if you change your case lube, clean and scrub the inside of your sizing die and maybe give it a light coat of the new lube. You would not think that a case covered with the latest slick and slimy would get stuck in the sizing die but it happens and never at a good time for it to happen.
For me, the lube of choice I have settled in on and have been very happy with is the lube sold by Dillon Precision and Frankfort Arsenal . Both are lanolin suspended in alcohol. I put my cases in a cardboard box, spray them, shake them around, spray again, shake again and wait a few and your good to go.
Sam
