RULES: 2013 NRA rulebook for black powder target rifle will apply. Equipment or procedures not covered by the rule book are prohibited.
THIS IS A BLACK POWDER MATCH; DUPLEX LOADS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
For pit safety all matches between 800-1000 yards minimum bullet weight and velocity are as follows:
Caliber Min. Bullet Weight Min. Velocity
.38 >355gr >1275 fps
.40 >400gr >1255 fps
.44 >440gr >1215 fps
.45 >500gr >1176 fps
.50 >580gr >1176 fps
+/- 2% VARIENCE APPLIES. Match directors reserve the right to remove any unsafe loads.

CLASSIFICATION: There are no classes!! All competitors will compete head-to-head regardless of ammunition, sighting method, age, sex, or state of origin. Sighting systems shall meet NRA requirements with iron and scope sights shooting head-to-head.

Match#1---10 shots@1000 yards---Sat. April 30th 2022, 35 Minute relay
Match#2---10 shots@900 yards--- Sat. April 30th 2022, 30 Minute relay
Match#3---10 shots@800 yards--- Sat. April 30th 2022, 30 Minute relay
Match#4---10 shots@1000 yards--- Sun. May 1st 2022, 30 Minute relay
Match#5---10 shots@900 yards.--- Sun. May 1st 2022, 30 Minute relay
Match#6---10 shots@800 yards--- Sun. May 1st 2022, 30 Minute relay
Match#7---Aggregate of matches #1 thru #6

PIT DUTY: All competitors are required to perform pit duty.

DAILY MATCH SCHEDULE:
• 7:00-7:30 Saturday only check in/registration at the statistics office.
• 7:30 role call and safety meeting at 1000-yard line
• 8:00 first shot down range.
• Shooters meeting 30 minutes following cease fire of last relay.
o Saturday door prizes
o Sunday awards

SQUADDING: This event will consist of 3 relays with 3-person squads (shooter, spotter/coach, pit) each relay will be 30 minutes long called as a 3-minute prep, 30 minutes for unlimited sighters and 10 shots for record. Note: The first relay of the match at 1000 yards will be 35 minutes so new shooter have additional time for ranging shoots.

SHOOTING POINTS: All shooting points can be driven to, no carts are needed.

RIFLES AND EQUIPMENT: All rifles, ammunition, sights and cross sticks must conform to current NRA BPTR target rifle rules. NO EXCEPTIONS!

OPEN BOLT INDICATORS ARE MANDATORY!

ACCOMODATIONS: There is a full hook-up campground located at the range. Nonelectric camping is free. Camping with electric is $10 a night.

Hmm, just discovered this range is about 100+ miles less than Phoenix. I'll look into a fall shoot, would love to show my wife around my home state!

Well, Mike, we would love to have you there in August for our long-range match on the 20th & 21st. Might also be good to note that the match director, Cliff Gregg, is looking to see if there is enough interest in a .22 BPCR/modern rifle match at 200-yard. If he gets enough people saying they would shoot that match he will schedule it for August 19th. That would be 3 days of shooting, 1 day of .22 and two days of big bore BPCR.
