Many of you are aware of this story already so I'll try to make it short.
Last September while on our way to the Medicine Rocks shoot our Tikka suddenly died in her sleep. We were in the little park in Baker. I panicked. What do you do when you're away from home and you have a dead dog on your hands. I called Brian and he came to our rescue. We buried her in his back yard alongside his cats. Thank you Brian.
Last week on our way to the Quigley it became all to obvious that Quigley couldn't manage with his hip dysplasia any longer. We took him to see Rick Smith and said goodbye to our friend of 10+ years. Once again we had the undesirable job of deciding what to do next. Rick set out a couple options but none seemed right so we placed his remains in the freezer at Rick's until after the 'Q'. In my heart I knew what I wanted but felt it was too much to ask. Then on Sunday after the match Brian once again offered to solve our problem. So Monday morning we picked up our pal and headed for Baker.
Tikka and Quigley were litter mates and truly loved one another for ten years and now thanks to the kindness of Brian Hickey they will be together forever. We don't know why we deserve such generosity but we will be forever grateful. Thank you Brian.
