Bottleneck observations
Cleaned up my brass from yesterday's outing and noticed that the soapy water seemed cleaner than with straight cases. Also the patches I used for cleaning the bore between shots are not as heavily fouled. Anyone noticed the more efficient combustion with bottleneck cases like the 40-50, 44-90, 40-65 or 44-77? KIK or OE leave softer and less fouling than GOEX or Swiss and that may be some of the difference. Just a interesting observation I made today. My Shiloh with a tight paper patch chamber appears to be very efficient burning powder and velocity is good as is accuracy.
