just got hung up on after a 20 minute chat with an asian fellow who wanted me to turn my computer over to him. He gave me directions to turn on the sharing program in it but somehow I just could not get it to work for him.

He was very helpful and tried many different ways to help me to gain him access but I was just too computer illerate to help him out , he finally said I was wasting his time and a minute later he hung up .

I feel bad , Maybe we should have Bob, show us how to help them scammers to infiltrate out puters,,,

beware they are out there,
it was fun though ,,, and he spent a few cents on the phone call,, maybe he traced it ,, that would be fun , ...some target practice..must be suffering from the mid winter blahs..

Yuppers once in awhile a feller just gets in the mood to screw with their heads..
Used to get these calls about buying this or that,, I'ld listen and ask questions, you know it had to be a long distance call and running up the bil.. Then get about to the end and when they'ld say now do you have any questions.. Yeh how much beef do you buy?? that would lead to an occasional furthering of the conversation, most times tho they'ld just hangup..

Had a guy call up and ask for Jim.. I said he's out in the shop, I'll get him for you..... I held the phone directly in front of my mouth and YELLED>>JIM!!!

Set the phone down for several minutes and continued working. Picked it up and asked if Jim had asnswered...no?? Did it again!! And again one more time. He then said he'd call back. Took at least 15 min of his time and ruined an eardrum too!!

I sometimes wonder if I am a bad person because I don't have any problem being rude to these kind of folks. I often hear, they are just doing their job. I say they can get another job. It also amazes me that apparently somebody buys from them. I have never met anybody that would admit to purchasing something from a telemarketer. The biggest headache I have is advertising agencies trying to get my business to buy advertising. They always have to talk to me and they always seem to call at the worst times. AAGGHH I hate them!!!

My buddy lived a mile south of me and was always calling me up at 0100-0200 hrs. saying "I got one for you"....meaning a joke...and he knew I'd flown all day and was dead azzed tired! So...one day....a Jewish fellow out of NYC called me and gave me a spill about buying some chemical hose from him....I started getting somewhat out of snuff but I held on and the thought hit me! Told the guy...."Yeah...I'll take 200' of your 2" hose and ship to me at this address!" Gave him ole Bud's name (Guy had not asked my name or address...just had the telephone number I guess) and address down the lake from me and deal was CASH....for the discount! Well....about seven days later....ole Bud drives up....wants his cotton sprayed so I took his order and said...."What you been doing?" His reply was...."Well....I got so damn mad this afternoon I thought I was gonna have to kill a truck driver!" I asked "Why?" Bud says..."I was working in my shop on a tractor and this truck pulls up and backs up to the shop....driver hops out and walks over and asked me my name and when I told him he said I've got your hose!" Told him I hadn't ordered any damn hose and he insisted that I had! Apparently this wrangling went on way over Bud's patience level! Bud then says...."I told this guy I was heading to my truck which was parked nearby to get my rifle and if he and his friggin truck wasn't out of sight in 30 seconds he wouldn't have a motor or any tires to leave on!" Needless to say....the truck left in a flash!

Told Bud about this about six months later after we'd had a few beers....and I got an awful cussin! But I really didn't mind since I was on the floor laughing!!
