Late season cow tag
I was fortunate enough to take a cow elk this morning with my 50 Sharps.

She was at around a 150 yards facing away.
I put my front sight at the base of her head pulled the trigger. Lights out.

Good show Stephen.
The bullet is interesting Is it short or deep seated?

Kurt

I just enlarged the picture. That bullet is good for a lot of fast reload if needed.

That's just way to cool Stephen. Thanks much for posting this.

Thanks Don. It wasn't an easy hunt. We walked a good 5 miles today when it was all said and done. The snow was like walking on ice down these steep hills. I fell down once, kept the Sharps up high though ?. This is the first elk I have killed with a Sharps. I was very pleased.

Thanks
Stephen

Kurt I designed and built this mold. It's seated in the case .250, .494 OD with 9 lbs onion skin paper. I've killed a few antelope with this same bullet. It performs well.

Thanks
Stephen

Nope, I built the mold in my shop.
